A big thank you to the staff of the world famous Comedy Store. They could not have made us feel more welcome. Personalized guided tours of the infamous haunted basement, as well as entry to the comedy show, and free passes to their "Haunted Midnights" event (every Friday night in October).
For those that came, the basement tour is just a teaser for the fun in store if you come back for their "Haunted Midnights." Needless to say, there are ghosts (and ghost stories) about the whole club, which you will see on the midnight tours, including one of the supposed "gun turrets" from the club's notorious gangster days. Also, they will be sharing little known ghost stories like "The Woman in White." Could she be a former glamorous patron or maybe the nurse, who preformed the illegal abortions in the basement. Come out and find out.
Plus, our friends at Paranormal EXP will share the evidence they gathered from a recent investigation of the building. All this and a themed comedy show free to those that came to SPIRITS with SPIRITS ($15.00 otherwise).
So, show your appreciation for the kindness they showed GHOULA, and support this local business that is not shying away from their haunted history.
P.S. For what it is worth, one of the members present, claimed that there was a time when a friend of his (a comic) was homeless, and squatted in the basement for months, unbeknownst to the management or other staff. Could some of the claims of noises in the basement be him?
