EMERGO-a-go-go!

When, House on Haunted Hill was originally released in 1959, Director William Castle promised that a ghost would appear in the theater while the movie played. On October 22nd at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica, a skeleton flew high above the audience, around the auditorium, dived down at unsuspecting patrons, and even spoke, mimicking the dialogue on screen. The "skeleton" was designed by Jesse Kingsley, and manipulated by master puppeteer, Eli Presser.

"Best Emergo ever!"
-- Terry Castle (daughter of William)
"That was the Rolls-Royce of Emergos"-- Steve Bickel (original Emergo operator)
